Where are GMC Yukons made?

My dad will kill me if my first car isn’t made in America. I’ve had my eyes on a GMC Yukon—is that model made in the U.S.?

Yes! As a matter of fact, the GMC Yukon, as well as the Yukon XL, is made right here in the USofA at the General Motors Arlington assembly plant in Arlington, Texas.
The General Motors Arlington Assembly Plant was opened in 1954 with the intention to produce both automobiles and aircrafts, though today they mainly focus on the former. In addition to the GMC Yukon and Yukon XL, GM also produces the following models at the Arlington Assembly Plant:
  • Chevrolet Tahoe
  • Chevrolet Suburban
  • Cadillac Escalade/Escalade ESV
