Finding out a car has Bluetooth is an exciting discovery! You’ll just need to set things up first.
Before you start jamming out, pair the phone with your Chevy’s Bluetooth and use AppleCarPlay or Android Auto once your smartphone is connected to the system. Or you can use the USB port in the center console to stream music from devices like your phone, iPod, or MP3 player.
Let’s look at how to pair your phone via Bluetooth in a 2012 Chevy Cruze:
Turn on your car and activate Bluetooth on your phone or device
Press the Config button under your infotainment screen
Scroll down to Phone Settings using your Menu Select wheel
Select Pair Device—you’ll have the option to either pair a phone or GPS
A code will appear on your infotainment screen
On your device, go to your Bluetooth menu and select your vehicle
Enter the code from your Cruze’s infotainment screen
Once connected, your Chevy Cruze will prompt you to name your newly paired device
Once your phone is paired to your Cruze’s Bluetooth, it will automatically connect when you enter your car.
You’ll need an app on your phone to play music using Bluetooth, or you can connect it through the USB port. You can’t use your phone for calls if it’s connected to your Cruze’s USB port to play music.
