The 2008
Nissan Altima 2.5S
comes standard with a Continuously Variable Transmission (CVT), but a six-speed manual transmission is also available.Unlike most transmissions, a CVT doesn’t have gears—not in the traditional sense. Instead, it smoothly changes through a continuous range of gear ratios, making for a smoother ride and often better fuel economy.
Pro tip: In any case, you should inspect the vehicle in person to ensure you don’t end up with a transmission you don’t like.
