What Kind of Gas Does a 2008 Lincoln MKZ Take?

I’ve recently purchased a 2008 Lincoln MKZ, and am wondering what type of fuel is best for the engine? Is there one that might perform better, or are there types that I should be avoiding to extend my vehicle’s lifespan?

Like with many other cars, a 2008
Lincoln MKZ
doesn’t require premium gas to perform at its peak.
The type of gas a 2008
Lincoln
MKZ uses is regular unleaded gasoline with an octane number of 87 or higher. Just make sure not to use fuel with a lower octane number of 87, or you might end up damaging your engine down the line.
However, you should avoid using gasoline without detergents. This is because detergents clean and maintain your vehicle’s fuel system, and using gas without added detergents will cause build-up that will eventually harm your vehicle. Luckily, gas sold at top-tier stations all add a minimum amount of detergent to their gas. Avoid filling up at BP, Amoco, Walmart, or 7-Eleven, if you can, since they don’t tend to add as much detergent as needed.
And that’s it! As easy as it is to choose the right fuel for your Lincoln, shopping for
