“When deciding what a good
comprehensive insurance
and
collision insurance
deductible is, you’ll need to look at what you can afford.
Deductibles range from $0-$2500 depending on the carrier. The higher your deductible, the lower your rate for full coverage will be. The most common deductibles to carry are $500 and $1,000.
Most people feel they are able to easily pay this out of pocket when submitting a claim.
If you aren’t able to afford a $500 or $1,000 deductible, consider going with a lower deductible amount to start. Once you’re able to save money, you could raise your deductible.
While a lower deductible will have a higher upfront cost, you’re ensuring you can pay your part to repair your vehicle.”
