What is the Honda Fit oil type?

I recently bought a used Honda Fit, but I want to ensure that it keeps running smoothly. I’ve done regular routine maintenance on my own, but I have yet to change the oil. What type of oil do I need for the Honda Fit?

If you want to change the oil on your ride, the
Honda Fit
takes 0W-20 oil in models made after 2011 and 5W-20, 0W-30, or 5W-30 oil for models made before 2011. 0W-20 motor oil provides peak performance and improved fuel economy, while also allowing your Fit to start in colder temperatures.
Honda suggests full synthetic motor oil, as this gives a boost to performance, but blends will also work, as well as high-mileage motor oil for older Honda Fit models.
While regular oil changes will keep your Honda Fit as fit as possible, make sure that you keep your car legal by getting the right car insurance coverage. Download the
