I watched a video on YouTube about two friends who outfitted a mini-truck for off-roading. I need a project, so I thought I might try my hand at it as well, I’m just not sure which brand is the best. What’s the best off-roading mini-truck option?

The best mini-truck for off-roading is entirely subjective, but one thing you should know is that unless you buy a
Honda
or a Subaru
, you’re going to need to import one—which means paying import costs, extra taxes, and possibly tariffs. So if you had to make a choice, the best mini-trucks for off-road in the U.S. are simply the ones you can get without any excessive costs.Subarus are probably the preferred option because they offer four-wheel drive as a standard feature, although they’re harder to lift and have lower ground clearance. Hondas are the opposite—they provide an easier platform to raise the truck, but come without four-wheel or all-wheel drive.
