I inherited a ‘98 Hyundai Elantra from my grandmother. The car holds sentimental value to me, so I think I’m just going to change the oil on my own. What type of oil do I need for a 98 Hyundai Elantra?

If you’re going to change the oil on your own, the 98
Hyundai Elantra’s
oil type is either 0W-20, 5W-20, or 5W-30. All of these motor oils will work, but you should go for the 0W-20 if you live in places with colder weather due to its lower viscosity.To conduct an oil change, you’re also going to need a minimum of 4.5 quarts of motor oil. High-mileage motor oil is specifically formulated for older cars, so that’s probably your best bet.
