I’ve switched to doing my own maintenance on my cars instead of taking them to the mechanic since I know how and it saves me money. But there’s one thing I’m unsure of—what type of oil do I need for a 2013 Nissan Altima?

has a six-cylinder VQ35DE engine, you’ll need 5.1 quarts of SAE 5W-30 oil. If your Altima has a four-cylinder QR25DE engine, you’ll need 4.8 quarts of SAE 0W-20 oil.
Most vehicles can take conventional or synthetic oil, although the latter is generally recommended for better engine performance and less frequent oil changes.
