What happens if I forget to plug in my good driving discount device?

What should I do if I forgot to plug in my driving discount device? I realized I've been driving around without the device plugged in. Will I still get my discount?

“If you’ve forgotten to plug in the device that tracks your driving behavior, you should reach out to your
car insurance company
. As you’re required to use the device for a specific amount of time, you may lose out on a discount for this policy period.
By informing them, you may be able to restart the tracking period. If you find you’re often forgetting to use the device, you should see if you’re able to switch to an app. Most carriers offer a phone app for their driving behavior discounts instead of the plug in device.
Switching methods shouldn’t impact your discount, but you’ll want to reach out to your carrier to confirm.”
