What does a pink slip look like?
I need to find my pink slip for my car for some forms that I’m filling out, but I’m not really sure what it looks like. How do I know which document is my pink slip?

What some call a pink slip is officially known as your
car title
. A pink slip looks like it is printed on a pinkish paper—hence the name. Your pink slip aka car title should have your state listed at the top, along with the words Certificate of Title.
If you can’t find the pink slip for your car, you can get a new one at your local DMV. You’ll have to provide some information, fill out an application, and potentially pay a fee, but it’s a very important document to have!
