2018 Silverado bolt pattern

Like most full-size trucks, the Chevy Silverado comes in a dizzying array of trims, cab sizes, and bed configurations. Luckily, while each of the 2018 Silverado’s three models features their own configurations, they also follow just one bolt pattern.
  • 2018 Chevrolet Silverado 1500: 6x5.5
  • 2018 Chevrolet Silverado 2500 HD: 8x7.1
  • 2018 Chevrolet Silverado 3500 HD: 8x8.3
So, what does this all mean?
No matter what you’re driving, your vehicle has a bolt or lug pattern that’s expressed as
# of bolts x diameter of the circle they form
Since the 2018 Silverado 1500’s lug pattern is 6x5.5, that means each wheel features six bolts set in a 5.5-inch diameter circle. Likewise, the 2500 HD will have 8 lugs per wheel in a 7.1-inch diameter circle, while the 3500 HD’s 8 bolts will form an 8.3-inch circle.
Now that you’ve got the basic info, you need a few more specs if you want to perform any upgrades on your wheels, and we’ve got them all for you right here:

How to measure your 2018 Chevrolet Silverado’s bolt pattern

If you’re looking for a simple way to add to your mechanical knowledge, or you have another vehicle you want to spruce up with a set of new wheels, finding out your vehicle’s lug pattern on your own is simple. Just grab a ruler and pick a wheel.
Starting with any bolt on your Silverado’s wheel, measure from the outside edge of that bolt to the bolt directly across from it. If you’re driving a 1500, that measure should come out to 5.5 inches, which is the diameter of the circle created by your lugs. On the 2500 HD, that measure will come out to 7.1 inches, and it’ll be 8.3 on the 3500 HD.
If you’re trying to find the lug pattern for a vehicle with an odd number of bolts, you’ll measure from the outside edge of any bolt to the point in between the two bolts opposite the bolt you chose.
