and help keep you safe in the event of an accident. If you’re having problems with a seat belt that won’t lock into place, you’ll need to check if there is anything blocking the mechanism. Follow these easy steps to inspect your seat belt buckle.- Inspect the seat belt tongue to see if it’s damaged or dirty
- Check the buckle to see if anything fell in to cause a malfunction
- Remove the buckle from the car if it’s hard to reach
- Take the buckle apart and inspect the internal mechanism for any blockages
- Replace the buckle if you couldn’t fix it in the previous steps
