What car should I get for cheap insurance?
Should I get an older car or a newer car? Does color matter?

It’s hard to say for sure because getting cheap car insurance doesn’t just depend on which vehicle you get. Your personal profile (age, location, credit, driving record, etc.) plays a huge role in determining your premium.
Broadly speaking, getting an older, cheaper car could result in lower insurance prices because you may not need collision and comprehensive coverage for it. Plus, because it’s less valuable, your insurance company won’t have to pay out as much in the event of a total loss.
The color of your car doesn’t affect your insurance at all.
If you want cheap insurance, then you should definitely avoid sports cars, luxury cars, and electric vehicles.
