What are some reasons that my 2006 BMW 325i won’t start in the cold?

I’ve been late to work twice now because my car won’t start. I’m freezing my tush off and the darn thing won’t turn over. What are some reasons that my 2006 BMW 325i won’t start in the cold?

It’s likely that your 2006
BMW 325i
won’t start in the cold because of a battery issue.
The first thing a mechanic will tell you to do is check your battery. Old and faulty batteries are the most common reason that a car struggles to start in cold weather. If you
jumpstart your car
and it happens again, it may be time for a
car battery replacement
.
Faulty spark plugs and fuel system issues could be at play, too. For example, moisture in your fuel lines could be inhibiting your start function.
If possible, try keeping your battery (and your car) warmer over the cold winter months. A battery blanket is a good option, or you could park somewhere indoors just for the coldest bit of the year. If that doesn’t help, turn your attention to the fuel system.
Don’t feel bad if you can’t resolve this issue on your own. You can always ask a trusted mechanic to check out your 325i or bring your car to a BMW dealership.
