Is it possible to purchase all of the damaged car parts that insurance companies collect?

"I'm curious what the companies do with all of the damaged car parts and if I can buy them in bulk. I want to use the parts for my own projects and I'm hoping to get a discount."

 don’t actually receive any of the car parts from damaged vehicles. Instead, the repair shops handle them.
If you’re interested in purchasing these parts, you can ask local repair shops if they’re willing to sell to you or you can look for local or national companies that deal salvage parts.”
