Is a water pump covered under the powertrain warranty from Chevy?
My new Chevy hasn’t been in my driveway for more than a week, but it’s leaking a puddle of weird liquid. It doesn’t look like oil, so I think it must be coolant from the water pump. Does the Chevy powertrain warranty cover a water pump?

, but that doesn’t rule out the possibility! Luckily, your water pump should be covered under the powertrain warranty from Chevy so long as it’s due to a manufacturer defect. Water pumps are included in the Chevy powertrain warranty because they are an essential component for the powertrain’s function. Take your car into a Chevy service center as soon as possible to get it diagnosed and to confirm that your warranty will cover it.
