If my friend was in an accident involving my car, do I have to talk to my insurance representatives at GEICO?

"My friend caused an accident and the person he hit contacted my insurance since the car is registered in my name. I really don't know what to say to them since I wasn't there. Do I have to talk to them or can they just deal with it without me?"

“Since the vehicle is registered in your name, you’re still liable for damages even though you didn’t cause the accident.
You should talk to your
car insurance
to confirm that you gave your friend permission to drive the car or they could refuse to pay. Your friend will likely also have to give a statement to
GEICO
confirming what happened.”
