Where is the 2005 Honda CR-V OBD port location?

I’ve been having some issues with my ‘05 CR-V, so a friend of mine lent me her OBD scan tool to help. The only problem is, I can’t figure out where to plug it in! Where is the OBD port located in a 2005 Honda CR-V?

If you’re having trouble locating the OBD port in your 2005
Honda CR-V
, you’re not alone. In CR-V models made between 2002 and 2006, the OBD port location is hidden underneath the steering wheel and above the gas pedal inside the driver’s footwell.
If you’re still not sure where exactly to look, check out the tips below for further guidance:
  • Start by opening your driver’s side door
  • Locate your gas pedal
  • Look in the space between the top right-hand side of your gas pedal and the base of your steering column. The OBD port should be visible.
Once you’ve located the port, all you have to do is plug in your scanner to connect to your car’s ECU and scan for trouble codes related to
car maintenance
issues. If you’re not sure what certain codes mean, don’t worry—we’ve got you covered with this guide to
OBD codes
.
