I have been a dog groomer for 19 years, and I need a career change. Many people in my town have started working for an insurance company that built a call center nearby. How do I start a career in insurance sales?

People always need car insurance, so a career in insurance sales would be a smart choice! Part of becoming an insurance agent is acquiring a license in the insurance field you are interested in.
Each state and insurance field will have different license requirements, but on average, you will need to complete a state-accepted course, about 40 hours of study time, and pass the licensing exam. Once your license is issued, you can start applying with different insurance companies.
Since a call center just opened near you, you may be in luck! Most top-named insurance companies offer paid insurance training and licensing. It would be smart to research what benefits that company offers before you pay for your own licensing.
