How to connect Bluetooth to a Honda CR-V?

I recently bought a new Honda CR-V after driving a rundown old Civic for years. I’m stoked to finally have a new car, but I’m a little behind in terms of car technology. How do you connect to Bluetooth in a CR-V?

New car technology has a learning curve, but we can help you get started! Connecting Bluetooth in a
Honda CR-V
is pretty straightforward and should take no longer than a few minutes. To begin, open up the “SETTINGS” menu on your smartphone and make sure the Bluetooth slider is in the “ON” position.
Next, power on your CR-V, but make sure you remain in Park. Touch the “HOME” button on your infotainment center, then tap “PHONE.” Your car will then prompt you to add a new phone, and you’ll need to tap “YES.” Then, select “Add Bluetooth Device,” find your Android or iOS smartphone on the list, and give it a tap.
Wait for your touchscreen to display a “PAIRING CODE,” then open your phone’s Bluetooth menu and tap the HandsFreeLink option. Confirm that the code on your phone is identical to the one on your touchscreen, and press “OK.”
You need to wait a few seconds for the pairing process to complete, and you can begin using your CR-V’s wireless Bluetooth functions! You’ll have the option of syncing your contacts, making and receiving hands-free phone calls and text messages, and using voice commands.
Plus, built-in smartphone apps like Apple CarPlay or Android Auto let you wirelessly control your phone’s
music streaming
and navigation applications right from your CR-V’s touchscreen.
