How much does it cost to renew a driver’s license in Washington state?

Will I have to pay a bunch of fees to renew an expired driver’s license in Washington state? I completely forgot to renew my license until I was denied at a bar last week and I’ve been nervous to try to renew it.

It costs $54 to renew your driver’s license in Washington state. If you’re more than 60 days late renewing your license, however, you’ll have to pay an additional $10 as a late fee.
When renewing your license late, it’s best to do it as soon as possible. The longer you wait, the more likely that you’ll be asked to retake parts of the driving exam, pay extra fees, or bring in additional documents proving your identity.
Depending on your age and appearance changes since your last license renewal, you may also be asked to retake your license photo, so be prepared for a photo when you go to renew your license!
