How many Ford Fusion Sports were made?

I love my Ford Fusion Sport, but I don't see many of them on the road. I’m inclined to think the Sport is somewhat rare, but I don’t know for sure. How many Ford Fusion Sports were made?

While we know that Ford produced and sold about three million
Ford Fusions
, the automaker has never released standalone production numbers for the
Sport
 model. This means that there’s really no way to know for sure how many were made—but because the Sport was around for about 15 years, it’s probably not considered a rare car.
That said, the performance-oriented Sport was less popular than the standard sedan due to its higher price point, so if we were to compare the Sport to other Fusion model trims—such as the
S
,
SE
, or
SEL
—Sport models could be less common.
Interested in uncommon Fords? Here’s a few of the automaker’s rarest vehicles:

  • Ford XC Cobra
  • Ford FS200
  • Ford Thunderbird Bond Edition
  • Ford Capri RS3100
  • Ford GT40 MK3

All of these vehicles were manufactured in small production runs of just a few hundred or less, making them incredibly rare collector cars, which are almost impossible to find!
