companies have significantly increased their lobbying spending.
In 2021, the automotive industry continued to spend $15.9 million. While recently, Congress passed a $1.2 trillion package to support electric-vehicle charging stations.
The Biden administration believes that this package is critical for the fast adoption of electric vehicles by the public to help manage climate change. The package has also dedicated $5 billion to replace public transportation and school buses as well.
