How far can a Mitsubishi Outlander go on empty?

The other day while I was driving, I noticed I let my car’s gas gauge get all the way to empty. I almost never do that, but I guess I wasn’t paying attention! Luckily I was near a gas station, but now I’m curious: how far can a Mitsubishi Outlander go on empty?

Believe it or not, most cars can actually drive for an additional 30 to 100 miles once their gas gauge reaches “empty”! Of course, that doesn’t mean it’s a good idea to drive your
Mitsubishi Outlander
for an extended period of time on a depleted fuel tank—but once your car runs out of gas, you should have enough time to drive to a gas station.
Keep in mind that if you own a newer Outlander, your car’s digital fuel monitor (located on your dashboard) automatically estimates how far you can drive before your car runs out of fuel. Unfortunately, older models don’t include this helpful feature.
