How far can a Jeep Wrangler go on empty?
Sometimes on my drive up North, the gas light in my Jeep Wrangler comes on, but I can’t get to a gas station immediately. How far can I drive on empty before I run out of gas?

How far your Jeep Wrangler can go on empty depends on what size tank you have. The Jeep Wrangler 2-door models have a 17.5-gallon tank, while 4-door models have a 21.5-gallon tank, which can get about 420 miles and 516 miles of highway driving, respectively. So, with 10-15% tank capacity remaining on empty, you could get anywhere from 42 miles to 77 miles before you run out of gas.
Remember that Jeep doesn’t release the exact specs on how far you can drive with the fuel light on, but this is a general estimate. In most cases, driving on empty is not recommended—so if your fuel light clicks on, get to a gas station as soon as possible!
