How do you start a BMW X3?
My parents are out of town, and they asked me to take care of their dogs and house while away. I also need to move their car so they don’t get a ticket. How do you turn on a BMW X3?

It’s nice of you to take care of your parents’ dogs and house while they’re away—I’m sure they appreciate it!
- Unlock the vehicle and sit in the driver’s seat with the key fob nearby.
- Use your foot to depress the brake pedal. If the car has a manual transmission, you’ll need to depress the clutch pedal.
- Push the start/stop button while keeping the brake or clutch pedal depressed, and the engine will start. Make sure not to hold down the start/stop button as this could erase the key codes.
To turn off their car, you should:
- Make sure the vehicle is in park. If the car has a manual transmission, make sure the vehicle is in neutral with the emergency brake engaged.
- Push the start/stop button, and the engine will turn off.
