How do you reset the oil light on a 2017 Honda Accord?

Is there a way to reset the oil light on my Accord on my own? I need to switch it back to 100%—I just got my oil changed—but I’m not sure how to do that.

Yes, you can do that yourself! Here’s how to reset the oil light in your 2017 Honda Accord:
  • First, set the ignition to RUN (one position before START).
  • Press the up/down buttons until you reach Vehicle Settings, then press the SELECT/RESET button.
  • Press the up/down buttons until you reach Maintenance Reset, then press the SELECT/RESET button again.
  • You should see the oil life reset mode displayed on the multi-information display. Use the up/down buttons to select Reset.
  • Press the SELECT/RESET button to return your oil life to 100%.
