How do you reset the oil life in a Honda Accord?

What do I need to do to reset the oil life indicator in my 2017 Honda Accord? I can’t figure out how to do it but I don’t want to go back to the shop just for that.

No worries! And no need to go back to the shop. Here’s how to reset the oil life in your
Honda Accord
:
  • Turn the ignition to RUN, which is one position before START.
  • Press the up/down buttons until you reach Vehicle Settings, then press the SELECT/RESET button.
  • Press the up/down buttons until you reach Maintenance Reset.
  • Press the SELECT/RESET button again. You should see the oil life reset mode displayed on the multi-information display.
  • Use the up/down buttons to select Reset.
  • Press the SELECT/RESET button to return your oil life to 100%.
If you’re still having problems with your oil indicator,
visit a shop
to make sure that your engine is functioning as it should. If your car is losing oil, that could indicate a problem with your engine.
