How do you reset the maintenance light on a 2008 Toyota Tundra?
I got my Tundra serviced a few days ago and the maintenance light still hasn’t turned off. I’m not sure why, but I’m confident there’s nothing wrong with the car. How do you turn off the maintenance required light on a 2008 Toyota Tundra?

It’s very common for drivers to experience persistent maintenance lights even after taking their car in to be serviced. The reason is usually very simple—the mechanic forgot to reset it.
The solution? You can either reset the light yourself or take the vehicle back to the mechanic, who can reset it for you.
- Turn your ignition to the on position. Do not start the engine.
- Turn your ignition off, and hold down the Trip Meter Reset button.
- Without releasing the button, turn your ignition on again.
- Once you see your regular odometer readings return to your display, release the button. Your light has been reset!
