Before you begin the programming process:

Inspect the motor on your automatic garage door opener. If you see a button marked with the words “Learn” or “Train”, you have a newer, rolling code model. If not, it’s an older model.

Locate the HomeLink system on your Wrangler. The HomeLink buttons should be either in an overhead center console or on the driver’s side sun visor.

Steps	How to program a 2020 Jeep Wrangler garage door opener (if you have an older garage door opener)
Step 1	Park your Wrangler outside of your garage door.
Step 2	Without starting the engine, put the Wrangler in the on/run position.
Step 3	Now, you need to clear your Wrangler’s HomeLink memory. To accomplish this, press down on the 1st and 3rd buttons on the HomeLink console for about 20 seconds. If you’ve been successful, the amber indicator light in the HomeLink console will flash quickly.
Step 4	Hold the handheld opener about 1-3 inches away from the HomeLink console so that they can sync together. Simultaneously hold the button on your handheld opener and hold down the button on the HomeLink console you want to pair it with.
Step 5	The amber indicator light on the HomeLink console should begin to flash. Once the indicator light begins to flash quickly, you can release both buttons. Step 5 may take up to 30 seconds.

If you have a newer garage door opener with a “Learn” or “Train” button, you’ll need to follow these additional steps: | Steps | How to program a 2020 Jeep Wrangler garage door opener (if you have a newer garage door opener with “Learn” or “Train” button) | | ——— | ———– | | Step 6 | Open your Wrangler’s driver’s side door, exit the Jeep, and go into the garage. Press the HomeLink button you want to program twice, holding it for about 2 seconds each time. | | Step 8 | If you’re successful, the HomeLink button should open/close the garage door. Sometimes, you will need to press the HomeLink button a third time. |
