You had a difficult time locating the fuel door release latch because the Dodge Caravan doesn’t have one!
Here’s how to open the gas tank on the Dodge Caravan:
- Turn off your engine
- Step outside your vehicle
- Open the fuel door on the driver’s side of your vehicle
- Turn the gas cap counterclockwise and remove it
That’s all you need to do to open the gas tank on your Dodge Caravan! Since you are driving on an empty tank of gas, you should head to the nearest gas station as soon as possible. Just make sure you choose the best gasoline for your vehicle. The Dodge Caravan uses regular gasoline with an 85 octane rating rather than premium gasoline.
Regular gasoline is the least expensive fuel available at the pump and with a combined fuel economy rating of just 20 mpg, you’ll need to save as much as you can when refueling your Dodge Caravan.
