! Luckily, wheel-well sound deadening is SUPER easy. Road noise is typically produced by the type of tires you have and the condition of the road you’re driving on. As you drive, the vibrations from your tires travel through the wheel wells, into the quarter panels, then the side panels, and finally the doors and floors.
Therefore, if you’re looking to reduce noise in your car, the wheel wells are the best place to start. This is especially true if you have a vehicle with larger tires, like a

or a sports car, as they tend to produce a lot more sound than average. So how do you soundproof the wheel wells? Simple! Install soundproofing material directly into the wells.
The easiest option is a soundproofing spray, like Spectrum Spray-on Deadener, but you can also purchase a product like FatMat, which you have to cut to size and install.
