I just bought a 2018 Nissan Murano and will need to put a full tank of gas in soon, but I can’t figure out how to open the fuel door—it doesn’t open when I push it. How do you open the gas tank on a 2018 Nissan Murano?

Excellent question! Opening the gas tank on a 2018 Nissan Murano is very simple, but can be confusing at first for those used to driving older vehicles. This is because rather than opening with a push, the 2018 Nissan Murano’s fuel door opens upon pulling the release latch on the lower left side of your instrument panel.
Once you pull this latch, the fuel door should spring open automatically—from there, all you have to do is unscrew the gas cap (turning counter-clockwise) and you’ll have opened your 2018 Nissan Murano’s gas tank.
