Sorry to hear that your battery bit the dust, but luckily you’ve got yourself a pretty easy-to-open key. Read on for a step-by-step on how to open a Mazda CX 5 key fob.
On the metal bottom of your Mazda CX 5 key fob, there is a small black release tab. Slide the release tab to the right and gently slide off the back cover of your key fob. Keep in mind that the back cover should slide off to the left of your key fob—not up or down.
Once you press down on the release tab and gently push the back cover off, voila! Your key fob will be open. Easy peasy!
