Oh no! Here’s how to manually roll up an electric car window:
  • Double-check and make sure the child safety lock is off. This could be what’s keeping your window from moving!
  • Grab the window between your palms and slide your hands upward. To do this, open the door and place one palm inside the window and another outside of it. Firmly press your palms together and push upwards. Be careful when you do this—the motor could engage at any moment and leave you with some sore fingers!
  • Clear the debris. Debris buildup along the window slot can jam your window.
If those tricks don’t work, there could be a blown fuse or other electrical problem. In that case, it’s best to get a professional to diagnose the underlying issue.
