How do you jumpstart a BMW?
My BMW battery hasn't been working right this winter. I'm worried it may give out and want to be prepared. How do you jumpstart a BMW?

To jumpstart a BMW, follow these steps: - Pull the release under the dashboard to open the hood.
- Locate the terminals in the engine designed to jumpstart your BMW. When you do this, you’ll see a red plastic cover with a + symbol on top of the positive terminal.
- Connect your red (which is positive) jumper cable to the positive terminal.
- Connect your black (which is negative) jumper cable to the negative terminal. This is located on the vehicle frame.
- You’ll need to do the same on the other vehicle that is jumpstarting your car.
- Turn on the ignition, but don’t start the engine. You’ll want to wait ten seconds to ensure your battery is charging.
- Start the engine.
This should bring your BMW and battery back to life. If it doesn’t work, you may have to call a tow truck or replace your battery.
