How do you get insurance on a commercial vehicle that's only for personal use?

I have a truck registered as a commercial vehicle. It's not used for commercial or business purposes. I want to insure it on a personal car insurance policy, but I am having trouble getting it insured. Am I able to insure it for personal use?

“If your vehicle is registered as a commercial vehicle, you likely won’t be able to insure it on a personal
car insurance
policy.
When you shop for car insurance, most companies request your vehicle identification number or VIN. If your vehicle’s VIN identifies it as commercial, it will be extremely difficult to insure it on a personal auto policy.
However, you have the option of trying to re-register the vehicle for personal use. The Department of Transportation or your state’s DMV may consider changing its status.
If they’re unable to or car insurance companies still won’t accept its status, you may need to request
car insurance quotes
for a commercial policy.
While this can be inconvenient, if you have a separate auto insurance policy, you may be able to bundle them to receive a multi-policy discount. The best way to know for sure is to shop insurance quotes on the

app. In just minutes, you can sign up and compare quotes to get the best price for your coverage needs.”
