How do you connect Bluetooth to a 2012 Ford F-150?

I’m driving a somewhat older F-150, but I’d love to be able to use hands-free voice commands. How do I connect Bluetooth to a 2012 Ford F-150?

Even though your truck is a little old, you should have no problem connecting Bluetooth to a 2012
Ford F-150
. Here’s what to do:
  • Put your truck in PARK and enable Bluetooth on your smartphone.
  • Push the phone icon button under the radio display to access the phone menu.
  • Use the radio tuner to scroll down to System Settings and press OK.
  • Scroll down to BT Device and press OK.
  • Keep scrolling and press Add a device.
  • Press OK when Find SYNC shows up on the radio display.
  • Enter the six-digit PIN from the display into your smartphone to pair the device.
If you’ve done the process correctly, you’ll see Connected appear on the radio display. It will ask you if you want to set this device as your primary phone, and you can push OK if that’s alright with you.
Now your smartphone is synced to your Ford F-150’s Bluetooth, and you can enjoy the hands-free features. This is just one way you can reduce
distracted driving
and become a better driver.
Don’t forget to ask your insurance provider if they offer discounts for avoiding distracted driving tickets. When it comes to saving on
car insurance costs
, every little bit helps!
