I recently acquired a used 2010 INFINITI G37 and am having trouble figuring out how to open the fuel filler door to access the gas tank—how do you open the gas tank on a 2010 INFINITI G37?

Opening the gas tank on a 2010
INFINITI G37
is very simple, but differs slightly depending on whether you have the coupe or sedan body style. All you have to do to open the 2010 INFINITI G37’s gas tank is:- Shut the engine off.
- Unlock the fuel filler door. This can be done by pressing the “UNLOCK” button on your Intelligent Key, pushing the power door lock switch to the “UNLOCK” position, or inserting the physical key into the door lock cylinder and turning the key to the right twice.
- If you have the sedan body style, push in on the right side of the fuel filler door—if you have the coupe body style, push in on the left side of the fuel filler door. Upon applying pressure, the door will automatically spring open.
- Unscrew the gas cap (which turns counterclockwise) and set it in the cap holder attached to the inside of the fuel filler door.
Now that the gas cap has been removed, the gas tank’s opening is exposed and you are all set to refuel. Remember that the 2010 INFINITI G37 has a fuel tank capacity of exactly 20 gallons—which is above average—and requires premium unleaded gasoline with an octane rating of at least 91 AKI.
When you have finished refueling, replace the gas cap by turning it clockwise until you hear an audible “click”—this signifies the cap is securely locked in place. Firmly shut the fuel filler door to latch and lock it.
