How do you clear your driving record in Indiana?
I just received my first speeding ticket driving just outside of South Bend the other day. Since it’s my first ticket, I was wondering if I could get it removed somehow to avoid increases in car insurance rates. How can I clear my driving record in Indiana?

allows you to clear your driving record
by taking a state-approved defensive driving class
. Keep in mind that you’re only able to take the defensive driving class once every three years to remove points from your license.If you want to take the class, the Indiana Bureau of Motor Vehicles (BMV) and traffic court will typically give you the option. However, you may have to request this option.
In some cases, you may receive a notice from the BMV that requires you to take the class—this is mandatory, but it may also remove the points from your license.
