Did you know that sudden temperature drops are one of the most common causes of low tire pressure? Luckily, checking your car’s tire pressure and refilling your tires are easy car maintenance tasks that can be learned in just a few minutes.
First, check your owner’s manual or the sticker located inside your driver-side door jamb to find out the correct tire pressure for your car (spoiler: it’s 36 PSI). Then unscrew the valve cap from each tire, and press your tire gauge down on the valve stem. The gauge will tell you your current tire pressure, making it easy to figure out which tire—or tires—need air.
