How do you change a brake light?

A bulb in my brake light has burned out. I'd like to repair it myself if possible. How do you change a brake light?

Doing DIY repairs at home is an excellent method to save money!
To change a brake light, do the following steps:
  • Identify the faulty light
  • Open the trunk and locate the tail light lens
  • Turn the brake light holder counterclockwise to remove it
  • Remove the bulb holder and bulb
  • Insert a new, working bulb into the holder
  • Put the bulb holder back in place
As you can see, changing a brake light is pretty much a piece of cake!
