I just purchased a brand new 2022 Honda Ridgeline Sport and have been taking my time to explore all the features that my 1999 Toyota Corolla did not have. I’m slowly learning how they all work, but I haven’t figured out the remote start yet. How do you remote start a Honda?

is a significant upgrade! I highly recommend reading through the owner’s manual to better understand the features of your new car.However, I’m happy to help you figure out how to use the remote start feature. Here’s what to do:
- Stand within 400 feet of the vehicle.
- Press the lock button on the key fob.
- Press and hold the remote start button for five seconds.
When remote starting your car, it’s good to know that:
- The engine will run for 10 minutes before turning off. You can repeat the above process before the vehicle turns off to reset the timer.
- You can press the remote start button again to shut the engine off.
- The climate control system will automatically be set to 72°.
- The safety system stays on, but the lights and accessories will remain off.
