Triggering your car alarm is definitely a source of annoyance, but shutting off your car alarm isn’t difficult. Your key fob or remote can typically shut the alarm off, although you may have several options depending on your make and mode.
Some options to stop your car alarm from going off include:
Start your car. Usually, your car alarm will turn off automatically when you start your car.
Hit the panic button. This may sound counterintuitive, but hitting the panic button a second time will often cancel the car alarm.
Use your physical key. If you unlock your driver’s side door with your physical key, your alarm should turn off.
