By maintaining your
Honda Civic Sport Touring
with regular oil changes, you can improve the longevity of your car, so good job on that! Your mechanic probably just forgot to reset the oil change warning, but it’s not a huge issue.
To reset the oil life on a 2012 Honda Civic, follow these steps:
  • Turn the key to the on position, but don’t start the engine.
  • Press the menu button on the left-hand side of the steering wheel.
  • Scroll up to vehicle information. Select vehicle information with the source button on the steering wheel.
  • Select maintenance info with the source button.
  • Select engine oil.
  • Select yes when the prompt says Would You Like to Reset Maintenance Information.
  • The oil life should read 100% afterward.
