How do I open the gas tank on my Volkswagen Passat from 2015?
My wife is out of town, but she let me borrow her 2015 Passat to run errands and go to work—it gets way better mileage than my truck. However, I want to fill the tank before she gets home, but surprise! I have no idea how to open the tank. How do I do it?

from 2015, use these directions:- Turn off the engine.
- Keep the doors unlocked, which will unlock the fuel filler door.
- Go around to the rear passenger’s side of the vehicle and look for a square cut in the sheet metal. This is the fuel filler door.
- Press the left-hand side of the filler door. It’s spring-loaded and should pop right open.
- Refuel and push the door back in place to lock it.
