How do I open a Ford Mustang GT hood?

How does the Ford Mustang GT hood open? My check engine light is on and I want to check my oil, but I’m not sure where the hood release is.

Most car manufacturers position the hood release lever in an inconspicuous spot, so it’s quite common for drivers to be unaware of its location. To open a
Ford Mustang GT
hood:
  • Pull the hood release lever that is located on the left side panel in the driver’s side cabin. This will cause the hood to pop up slightly.
  • Release the safety latch that you’ll feel anchoring the hood down. Push up on the latch once you locate it and open the hood up fully.
  • Prop the hood open with the hood’s prop rod. It looks like a long metal pole that has a small hook at the end and it will fit in a corresponding slot in the hood.
After the prop rod is secured in its fitting, you can get to work! Hopefully, You can resolve your
check engine light
issue after adding some oil.
