I'm strapped for cash at the moment, and have been struggling to keep up my car insurance payments. Any idea how to get a fake car insurance card?

Using a
fake car insurance card
could cost you thousands of dollars in fines and leave you with a criminal record, making it the worst possible way to save on
car insurance
payments.
Don't trust online templates: Your
car insurance card
is an essential form of proof of insurance used by the DMV, law enforcement, and other drivers. Online templates can't replicate this document effectively; if you use one, the fake will be obvious.
A fake insurance card will not hold up as a real insurance policy with any of these parties:
  • The DMV already knows: Insurance companies are responsible for alerting the DMV when a driver’s insurance
    lapses
. You won’t be able to use a fake to register your vehicle or renew your registration without a policy confirmation on file.
  • Law enforcement already knows: Police officers can
    check insurance policies
with modern technology before they even leave their patrol car. That means, they already know if you’re uninsured and they’ll know if you’re attempting to fake them out.
  • Other drivers will know soon enough: Your fraudulent insurance card won’t provide any of the necessary coverage if you cause
    an accident without real insurance
. You’ll be held liable for damages out-of-pocket—and you’ll likely face major legal fines on top of it.
The bottom line: Using fake proof of insurance will only aggravate the consequences of
driving without insurance
. In addition to driving uninsured, which can carry steep fines and even jail time in some states, using a fake card means you're guilty of
insurance fraud
, which can be prosecuted as a felony.
An easier way to save money: If you’re having trouble affording coverage, try using a car insurance broker app like
