How can I reset an odometer trip in a Ford Ranger?

I'm borrowing my friend's Ford Ranger to take a trip across the country. I'm trying to be detailed about how I keep track of the miles, but I can't figure out how to reset an odometer trip in this thing? How do you do that in a Ranger?

It’s a good idea to keep detailed records, especially when putting a good amount of miles on someone else’s ride. Let’s take a quick look at how to reset the
Ford Ranger
odometer for car trips.
The odometer and other travel logs are governed by the Ranger’s Trip Computer, which is displayed via a digital screen in the center of the dashboard. You can navigate the travel computer using the five-way directional and selection buttons on the lefthand side of the steering wheel.
Cycle through the trip computer’s options until you reach either the one labeled Trip Odometer, Trip Timer, or Average Fuel. While on one of those screens, press and hold the OK button.
Keep holding it until the loading bar appears. That loading bar indicates that the computer is in the process of resetting the particular trip that you have selected. When that loading bar finishes, you will have successfully reset that specific trip!
And that’s all there is to it! Enjoy your road trip adventure—and, whenever you decide to get your very own set of wheels, don’t forget to use the insurance broker
